Greetings from Australia,

Greetings from Australia, Sorry for long time no writing. I had a lot to do to prepare my time in Australia and once arrived in Australia there were so many new things to discover. So I will today write something about my first experience. I arrived Australia on the 5th October and the weather was perfect fine. I was picked up from the airport from my new family for the next 6 month. The first building I saw after the airport was an “IKEA”. So far now different to Europe. But I recognized the quickly that I am on the other side of the world.

Hi everybody, this will probably be my last entry. It is almost christmas again and my time in Tunisia with all the nice girls feels really like an eternity. I'm in cold Germany and the memories to the 30 degrees in Tunisia are so unreal now. I'm sad that it is so long ago, on the other hand a lot of nice things happened in between. I still profit from the presentation course in my daily work and from Jean-Luc's book about making clear graphics.

My résumé

Hi girls,During the last two weeks after the summer school has been over I had time to review things. Here is my final valuation. The cultural and scientific exchange with all the girls was quite an enriching experience for me. Due to the casual contact to each other it was easy for us German girls to learn about the Tunisian girls’ way of thinking. The hospitality and open-mindedness towards us was awesome. Because we all came along with each other very well it was no point asking sort of explosive questions.

Last entry

Hi again,
this is my last entry. More than one year has passed since we have been to Tunisia. It would be really nice to meet each other again.
My new job is still going well. Last week I took over some parts of a training with customers for the first time. It was good that I had the opportunity to learn a lot in the first weeks. But it is also nice that I get more responsibility now and that I can really start to work.
Next weekend I will be at the Physikerinnentagung in Heidelberg. So I will meet a lot of women in science there which is always very nice.

My new job

Hi girls,
In the first weeks of my work I got a lot of training. There was much I had to learn and also a lot I still have to learn but it is very interesting. My colleagues are really nice. One week after I started to work two new colleagues came and we got a lot of training together.
I work as a trainer. So I will develop trainings and give trainings. Therefor I also attended a training of a colleague in Austria where the company has its headquarter.

Hi everybody,This will also be my last blog entry. Last month I participate in a workshop, which was for women in science. It took place in Chemnitz and it lasts four days. There were similar topics, like we discussed in Tunisia last year. And again, it was really exciting. Besides some lectures, I also had the chance to visit the university in Chemnitz and the Fraunhofer-Institute. They do great work and have interesting topics. Concerning my master thesis everything is going well. I am still very happy with my topic and I hope I can finish my studies in January. What is coming next?

Goodbye

Dear Ladies, this is the last blog entry I will write. So I´ll say goodbye and it had been a pleasure to meet all of you people. A lot happened in my life the last twelve month. I finished my studies, decided to do my PhD, emigrated and am currently learning French for my upcoming journey. I hit a huge jackpot to obtain a Marie-Curie-fellowship and being able to be supervised in my thesis by the "god" of phosphorus ligands and hydroformylation.
